In April we went on a 12 days surf trip to the south algarve and had an awesome time. Waking up on a lonely bay with nice waves is just perfect. The Van gave us the oportunity to stop and stay wherever we wanted and explore the beautiful coastline. It’s no problem at all to rest a night or two at most places in Portugal. Alex was really friendly and helpful, he even came to pick us up at the airport in Lisboa.

“We had a fantastic holiday going with the campervan from Lisbon to Porto and back in February.
We spent 10 days discovering beautiful cities (Lisbon, Porto, Sintra, Obidos) and seaside towns (Cascais, Peniche, Nazare…) enjoying costal walks, watching big waves and wild seas and eating delicious sea food. There is so much to see we ran out of time, we will come back another time to visit some of the historical towns and national parks inland and the vineyards of the Douro.
We were really surprised how self sufficient the van was. We were worried it would be cold and uncomfortable in winter but it was absolutely fine. We always had power (from driving a short time each day and the solar panel) and the kitchen and bathroom were simple but worked well . We did free camping in front of beautiful beaches and overlooking the river in Porto (in the neighborhood of Foz). There is nothing better than sleeping with the sound of crashing waves and preparing breakfast overlooking the sea.
Alex from Atlantic campers was great, he gave us lots of tips and helped us find a supermarket to stock up the van. When we called him with questions during the holiday he was always happy to help. We would definitely recommend this kind of holiday.”

“We rented alex’ camper for a surftrip through portugal. and this camper is just the perfect solution for that!! you don’t have to make plans, you’re flexible and free. you just go & stay where the waves are… you can really stay next to almost every beach.
the camper is fully equipped (kitchen with refrigerator, chairs, outdoor shower,….) and ready to go. there is also a lot of space for your luggage. we were surprised how well all our stuff including surf- and skate boards fitted into the camper. (we were 3 guys; for 4 it might get tight if everyone has a surfboard, wetsuit & so on…)
and last but not least: alex is just the best host you can imagine 🙂 REALLY cool, a surfer himself with good knowledge and hints about spots & conditions and everything else you need to know about lisboa and portugal.”

“Our 2 weeks of travel with a Atlantic Campers campervan was one of the best experiences of our lives. The ability to travel at our own pace, not having to worry about searching for accomodation and being able to stop (and sleep!) in the most beautifull locations was great.
The campervan is well equipped and having a complete bathroom plus an outdoor shower is a plus.

“We loved to travel in Alex’ camper van and had a fantastic time in Portugal!!
Alex’ van was just perfect for us four girls. Traveling with the camper van was a great experience and we enjoyed every day we spent in the car. To discover Portugal’s beautiful landscapes and beaches the van is the perfect solution. We loved the independence we had with it, because we stayed every night on a different but always beautiful spot next to the beach.
Besides this the van is equipped very well. It was no problem to cook a good dinner or prepare a big breakfast, because the van has a small kitchen area and the van has everything you need. Everything for our trip was provided in the van, so we didn’t need to buy any further camping stuff. Furthermore the van is very easy to drive. We had no difficulties driving it even through narrow streets.
And on top of that Alex and Carolina were great hosts!! They took good care of us and provided us with useful information about secret spots on our trip and great restaurants. Both are very friendly and warm people and we are glad to get to know them. They have been the perfects hosts!!
We would like to come back and can highly recommend Alex’ camper van!!!!
